Today I would like to address one of the most important intangible elements that must exist in any healthy relationship.  This is not something you can buy, borrow or steal because this basic necessity can only be earned.  What is this thing that bonds couples together and helps to create a healthy relationship between two committed people?  In a word, it's trust!  By definition, trust is "a firm belief or confidence in the honesty, integrity and reliabilty of another person."  We all are familiar with the warmth and safety trust can provide; however, we also know the intense emotional pain and agony of having experienced trust broken.

Since trust is a basic necessity in a healthy relationship, I find it rather curious that the word
"us" sits comfortably in the midst of the word trust.  The truth is that there can be no us if there is no trust because trust is one of the critical bonds that connect and endear two people to one another.   So with this as our foundation today, I'd like you to think about two questions today regarding trust: Who do you trust the most?  And are YOU trustworthy?  I trust you will find these two questions a bit challenging, insightful and enlightening.

"In her autobiography Climbing Free, rock climber Lynn Hill shares the peril she faced in May 1989 while scaling a cliff face in France.  As Hill reached the top of a 72-foot ledge, she leaned back into her harness to take a rest.  Somehow, her rope wan't fully connected to her harness.  When she leaned her weight on it, she fell backwad into space.  You can imagine how terrifying this was--falling through the air with nothing to catch her.  Amazingly, she survived the fall.

"As an expert in her field, Hill relied fully on her equipment.  She had every expectation that her harness would support her full weight.  Her experience illustrates the dangers of putting your faith in someting that may fail." 2

Many of us have learned the folly of putting our trust in othrs who let us down, or in accountants who adjusted their books to make their company look good on the stock market, or in the stock market itself--or in a broker who stole his clients' entire retirement funds (of whom I am one of the victims).

Living in this world we are going to be let down at times.  We can't always avoid it.  But the most important thing in life is that we don't put our trust in a false God or a false religion and discover too late that when we come to the end of life's journey, we had not put our trust in the Living God and his only way of salvation.  We can trust in man-made religions, or own interpretation of the way to heaven, or we can trust in Jesus who said, "I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father (God) except through me."3  And again, "nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven (than that of Jesus) given among men by which we must be saved." 4

                                         SUGGESTED PRAYER:

"Dear God, thank you for the name of Jesus--the one through whom you have provided mankind's only way of salvation.  And thank you that I can trust fully in your Word knowing that you will never let me down.  Gratefully, in Jesus' name, Amen."

                                         FRIENDS -VS- ASSOCIATES

A LITTEL SOMETHING TO PONDER, DO WE KNOW IF WE REALLY HAVE FRIENDS, OR TRUE FREINDSHIP? OR ARE THEY JUST ASSOCIATES IN PASSING. WHAT IS THE STANDARD OF A MEANINGFUL FRIENDSHIP.

ASSOCIATES I FEEL :ARE JUST THAT PERSON WE ASSOCAITE WITH, NOT SHARE FEELING OR PERSONEL MATTERS, LIKE FAMILY, RELATIONSHIPS, OR EMPLOYMENT SITUATIONS.

THIS WEEKEND I AM ASKING US TO MAKE A

1)LIST OF EVERYONE YOU KNOW REGULARLY

2)THEN ON ANOTHER PIECE OF OF PAPER, MAKE TWO COLUMNS ON FOR FRIENDS AND ONE FOR ASSOCIATES .

IT A CRAZY CRUEL WORLD OUT THERE IN THE STREETS,WE ARE SOMETIMES LEFT BELIEVING PERSONS ARE PRAYING WITH US AND IN REALITY THERE PREYING ON US ! 

I've a story to tell to the nation...God has put many things, thoughts and ideas that he wants me to share with all.  He wants to give you something to think about and ponder upon.  God knows we are all missing alot in life with our fast pace live styles...days of financial desperation and life's many challenges that we are currently facing with our recent new President.  He wants us to know he hasn't abandoned us and he's still very much with us as we tackle all the challenges.  He loves you and just wants you to love him in return. He wants you to know where ever you go you are not alone. He is always with you!  When you are sick he's there to hold your hand and give you comfort.  When you are lost he's there to guide you!  Whe you are scared he's there to comfort you!  When you suffer hardship he's making a way to help you!  When you are depressed and/or suffering great lost he's there to give you peace! Don't turn your back...because if you do you may be shutting the door to something wonderful God has in store for you...instead draw near.  Draw in closer to Christ...keep your eyes on the Lord and find the wonderful things to come your way!

     Thanks for the response to my question. I haven't been on here in a while, so I just read it today. You have some great insight. I really appreciate your response:)

To answer your questions: 1. Until you get sick and tired of it and decide to put a stop to it. 2. The level of trust is never the same until over a period of time when it is earned once again. 3. I do believe that some people can't be trusted, due to the circumstances they are in or have been around, if the circumstances are changed then there is a possibility that the person would be trust worthy. Clear as mud? 4. What's to be said, well, that again depends on the issues. The person might very well had trust ripped right out from their soul. It isn't like a stuffed animal where you can stuff it right back in and sew it up.What ever the issue, theone who is not trust worthy will have toearn that trust back. How you may ask, well, that will depend on the issue.

Some people do not think( I mean that) about how much trust matters to someone. In a marriage the two persons MUST trust each other, if they dot then what do you have? Zip, you can try but if it happens again, once shame on me,  twice shame on you. Children trust their parents(up to the age of 13 or 14) to take care of them the best that they can. They could have very little and have a boat load of love and the children will trust their parents completely.They could have a bunch of money and without the love and trust, grow to dispise the parents.

 We trust our doctors to have our best interest at heart for our care. We trust the police and rescue to care for our safety and others. Firemen(people) to exstinguish a fire as soon as possible and protect our lives in those cases. Trust is what keeps a family or friends together.

When you buy online you trust your senses, to a point, once you buy the product you find either it has been earned or you have been lied to. Do you turn right around and buy something else from that person, company, etc. I don't think so unless they do everthing they can to either replace or make up for the problem. In other words to gain your trust again.

You trust your government to have your best interest at heart, I can not in good faith say that  the government is doing that right now but I'm willing to wait and see, I know in the past , for the most part they only had their pockets at heart. I don't even want to talk of the banks, insurance companies, corporations, who are buddy..buddy with them.They have already slapped us all in the face and showed us that they only thing they care about is their pockets and enjoyment and to hades with you, me, the company, employees, rules, regulations, etc. See I told you I didn'lt want to start!

Trust is just a thread in the fabric of nature. One must do all they can not to break it.

hello everyone as you know i have been waiting and hoping to find a house for my family. since the flood, unfourtunatly i have had more downfalls than ever in my life. 4 months after i had to have all my wisdom teeth taken out, my dad had surgery, my husband will be leaving for a year in another month, and last i have to have surgery tuesday. it just seems that it takes a long time to get back on our feet. i am not asking for any money. just maybe a prayer to make it through my surgery so i can recover and my kids will be happy. however i also do wish that you pray my family finds a house that we can afford. thank you so much for reading my blog and please respond if you have any ideas or anything that might help us make it through, thanks again and god bless you all.

I think that the wage system in the government ought to be put back, into "We the People",

into our hands for several reasons.

1. They would work harder  to get their wages raised.

2. Spend more time voting on the items at hand, because the record would show how they voted.

3. They would spend more time in Congress or the house on all matters to get your vote.

4. Somewhere along the line, We the People, forgot that Government is suppose to be working For us, not us for them.

If they were working for us, they would be careful, they would help their people, they would help bring jobs to the state and to the counties.They just like their counter parts on wall street have had the easylife way to long. They need to be in out shoes, they need to work for their wages, not be off on extended vacations somewhere, or visiting other countries.If they spent more time in their state and jurisdiction they would know more of what the people need and want. Have they helped us against big business? Have they helped us against unfair credit practices. Did they help aginst the Oil companies when they were taking advantage of us, no, that was just a show, nothing became of the 'hearings'. And who do we have to blame,US, when and where have you ever known an employee to vote on their own ages and if they could do that would they work that hard, no, they would have top dollar , the best benefits, and not put out too much effort at their work. Sound familiar? Who should be getting help, Their buddies on Wall street or the American workers, farmers, and the lower income.

The American people should not feel like their government had let them down, that there is no hope, that you can't trust the person you put in office.The office that they hold is to represent...US, you and I, and to do help us, guide us,  defend us, and take care of us. I don't see much of that. I see people in office that are there to get what they can, to better their lives and to hell with ours. If we really want things to change, We need to take back control of our government. If your Representitive or your Congress person is not doing their job then boot their butts out of there, don't vote them right back into office, that is stupid. A new person will be hungry for the job, out to show their people that they arethe paeson for it, and surely they couldn't mess it up anymore than what they have done already.

How many times do you allow someone to lie to you, and or let you down before you just refuse to ever trust them again?

Even if you forgive a person for what they've done to you, is the level of trust ever really the same as before?

Do you believe that some people just cannot be trusted?

What's to be said about a person with trust issues? 

Just wanted to say hello and god bless to all the strong wonderful people you really are ... hang in there times are tough for everyone at sometime in their lives ... but hold your heads up and stiffen up your upper lip ... just remember there is hope where there is faith...

I am a women who truly trust in God and know that ALL things are possible with Him. I am also a women who need assistant with my bills, because I have took on responsiblities to keep my family together and I only have one income coming in the household. My son was in a terrible accident and at the time he had he also became a father of two. The young lady has another child to raise. My son stayed in intensive care for over month and the Hospital for three months which I had to travel back in forth. Because I believe in God that he will heal my son and God word is true, because the doctors said he would not make it. I promise God I will take care of him, well I am taking care of him, his future wife, two unborn children and her son. It has been very hard on me financially and I need assistant on catching up on my bills and staying above water with my bills. I know God do not give us more than we can bear, but I can not bear these bills unless someone will kindly find it in there heart to help me. I have lost so much in my life such as my husband after 32 days of marriage, but I will never give up on live and I will never give up that we have people out there that can help, because of goodness of thier heart. Thank you for all your support and understanding.
